So many great memories of a man who started as my boss and soon became a very good friend. Always a twinkle in his eye and soft hearted too, but with a steely determination combined with an uncanny ability to laugh with others, sometimes about himself but never at anyone else's expense. I miss him dreadfully already.
And Jill and the boys. So strong and positive during the last 21 months since Michael was diagnosed and everyone had to come to terms with the awful prognosis.
I am sure I am not the only one to feel so proud (and, indeed, privileged) to have known him and his great family and to have shared so many good times, the memories of which will stay with me forever.
